Malaysia

So here I am en route to kuala lumpur. I had a rather uneventful first flight from Adelaide to Melbourne. It takes two hours to fly between so that's further apart than Vancouver and Edmonton. Now I'm on an 8 hour flight from Melbourne to kuala lumpur and for the first time in as long as I can remember, I'm stuck in a middle seat. It's a two-four-two plane and I heard from a flight attendant that it's a new plane.

Anyways, it's as though I've stepped back in time because there are so many things that are they way it used to be when I was a kid. For domestic flights you can bring any liquids on the flight or in my case a full bottle of conditioner and my shaving razor. Now on Air Malaysia, which I would highly recommend based on my experience so far, we were given snacks and juice. Have a look.

Yep!! Salted Peanuts!! Far away from North America's fear of peanuts.

So I will have to publish this when I'm back on land. I'll keep you all posted when I can.

Ok so I'm now in KL Malaysia for the night. After 8 hours and four movies later. The food was pretty good and aside from the plane being a little too cold most of the way, the trip was great. But hey, I'd rather be on the cold side than the hot side.

Now I'm in this sweet little resort style hotel for the night with a queen bed to myself though after a twin, it feels like a king to me. My flight to Hanoi Vietnam leaves tomorrow morning at 9:50 so I'll have to catch the 7:30 shuttle after the breakfast that's included with the hotel. Too bad I have to leave so early. The weather is a hot and sticky 30 degrees at 10:00 at night and the pool looks like a gorgeous oasis. I even considered going tonight but the water's being treated right now.

So tonight a simple agenda of a shower and a bit of reading before I head to sleep. It'll be an early morning and another day of traveling tomorrow.

Yay to new adventures!
