Today I had my second hand in of the semester in my main Studio course. Let me just say they really do things differently here. So here are a few shots of my submission. It includes a small piece of text (approx. 150 words), a section, a plan, some materiality, and a white card model. Think very very abstractly though. Here's my class's submission exhibit:
With that out of my brain I was able to focus on... TRAVEL!!! So I spent a lot of the day planning and researching for the trip I am taking with my Mom after the semester. And then of course I also had to pack for my trip to Thailand and Laos. I leave tomorrow!
I decided I really wanted to travel with a small pack and pack light. I am going for 2.5 weeks with a 34 L pack. For those of you who don't know what that looks like, fret not, I will post a picture soon. I have to admit I'm quite proud of myself for making everything I felt I 'needed' and then some, fit with relative ease. And I kinda love my backpack! I hope its going to work out as great as it seems.
Here are some photos:
So to get an idea of what I'm taking with me, Here's a packing list:
1 - Skin (Water proof jacket)
1 - Sweatshirt
2 - pairs of pants - jeans and lulus
2 - pairs of short - jean and lulu
2 - dresses - one long and one short
2 - tank tops
2 - t-shirts
1 - long sleeve shirt
3 - pairs of socks
2 - bras - one regular, one sports
1 - bathing suit
1 - pair of Pjs
1 - sarong wrap
1 - scarf
1 - travel towel
1- pair of flip flops
1 - pair of runners
1 - lock plus key
1 - pair of ear plugs (these three things are must-haves if you plan on staying in any hostels!)
1 - face mask for sleeping
2 - mini bottles of hand sanitizer
half a roll of TP
leatherman knife
Wash up kit
first aid kit
Malaria Medicine + letter to say I am traveling with medicine.

Camera + charger
iPhone + usb cable
iPod + headphones
book
journal
wallet
pen
travel itinerary + vouchers
passport (+ any necessary visa)
daypack + 2 small foldable spare bags (in case I decide to shop)
I think that's it! So plenty of stuff - rolled up and all fits inside a 34L pack. Not bad if I may say so myself.
